FAQ

Where do you source your fabrics?

We source our fabrics from local businesses in Toronto and Canada wide. Specifically, local sellers that carry deadstock materials, the Textile Museum, and used and vintage resellers.

What is the difference between a kimono robe and a duster?

The two are used interchangeably. My vision is that a kimono robe has a more detailed collar and sleeve cuffs that are wider. Dusters have no visible collar.

If I have my own fabric, can you make me a kimono robe?

Yes! We do encourage the fabric be deadstock or used but we love working with people’s fabrics. A kimono requires about 3 yards of fabric. This will also reduce the cost of the garment.

What measurements do you need from me to customize my kimono?

Just your height! If you’d like to check your measurements with me, we’re happy to discuss and make them for every body.

If I have a different idea for a kimono/robe/duster, can you make it? For example, I’d like a tie.

We can do that! Let us know what you’re imagining and we’re happy to bring it to life.

Once I order, how long does it take to get my piece?

If we have inventory, shipping is regular standard Canada Post times. If the kimono is a custom piece, the wait time is approximately 2 weeks depending on the details of the design.

I live in Toronto; do you offer pickup or drop off?

Yes, we do both! We can make arrangements to get your garment in the easiest way for you.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we do! Shipping costs vary based on the destination.
